Basketball Game Preview: Morgan Trojans vs. Union Cougars

Morgan has gone 9-1 against Union recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Morgan Trojans will welcome the Union Cougars at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Morgan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.

Morgan is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Grantsville just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 87-63 to the Cowboys. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (61), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eva Birkeland, who scored 25 points.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Union's strategy against Ben Lomond on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Union blew Ben Lomond out of the water with a 53-25 final score.

Union's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Morgan, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9.

Everything came up roses for Morgan against Union in their previous matchup on January 14th, as the squad secured a 72-32 victory. In that contest, Morgan amassed a halftime lead of 40-18, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
