Recap: Notre Dame Crusaders vs. Mansfield Tigers
The Notre Dame Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Mansfield, falling 65-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Notre Dame has scored all season.
Mansfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Karson Dominick out in front who scored 29 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Dominick has scored at least 25% of Mansfield's points. Another player making a difference was Brady Stetter, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Notre Dame now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Mansfield, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Notre Dame will take on Lansing at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Lansing will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. Mansfield's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wellsboro at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Wellsboro is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
