Basketball Recap: Heide Trask Takes a Loss

Heide Trask had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-4 to make it four. They fell 53-41 to the Dixon Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-37 two weeks ago.

As for Dixon, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. While they didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Dixon found their leader in sophomore Lily Borden, who went 10-for-25 on her way to 28 points along with six boards and three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Borden has scored at least a third of the Bulldogs' points. Another player making a difference was Leah Parker, who posted six points in addition to six rebounds and five blocks.

Looking ahead, Heide Trask will square off against East Bladen at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dixon, they have already played their next contest, a 50-33 defeat against South Brunswick on the 3rd.
