Volleyball Recap: Carmel Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Carmel had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Peekskill Red Devils 3-0.

Carmel not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Peekskill between 17 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17, 25-19.

Peekskill has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Peekskill will face off against Yorktown at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Carmel will be paying especially close attention to the Red Devils' matchup: after the Red Devils face off against Mahopac, they'll take on Carmel again at 4:30 p.m. on October 8.
