Volleyball Recap: North Putnam's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five

North Putnam came tearing into Saturday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Mooresville Pioneers by a score of 2-0. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Pioneers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Xavier Ali paced North Putnam's offense, picking up six kills. Ali got some help from Bastian Sobrino-Behler and his 17 assists. Michael Springmeyer and Zach Riley kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

North Putnam's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Mooresville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, North Putnam and Mooresville will both be playing Jeffersonville the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Red Devils at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Pioneers will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
