Softball Game Preview: Madison Eagles vs. Shrine Catholic Knights

After both having extra time off, the Madison Eagles and the Shrine Catholic Knights will shake off the rust and duke it out at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Madison has given up an average of 12 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Madison is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Fitzgerald just ended the team's three-game winning streak two weeks ago. They lost 12-1 to the Spartans.

Heritage hit Shrine Catholic with a four-run fourth inning last Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights came up short against the Hawks, falling 11-2.

Madison now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Shrine Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.
