Basketball Game Preview: First Baptist Saints vs. San Jacinto Christian Academy Patriots

The First Baptist Saints will square off against the San Jacinto Christian Academy Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

First Baptist is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 55-39 win over Christian Heritage. Given the Saints' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Sentinels are ranked 883rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, San Jacinto Christian Academy entered their tilt with Ovilla Christian last Tuesday with 14 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 15. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 55-46.

First Baptist has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.2 points over those games. San Jacinto Christian Academy's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 31-5.
