Baseball Recap: Sequatchie County Takes a Loss

If Sequatchie County was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Bledsoe County on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians fell 8-5 to the Marion County Warriors on Sunday. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Sequatchie County's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 20-10. As for Marion County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Sequatchie County nor Marion County have any future games scheduled.
