Basketball Game Preview: Lakeland Dreadnaughts vs. Bartow Yellow Jackets

The Lakeland Dreadnaughts will face off against the Bartow Yellow Jackets on Friday. Lakeland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matchups -- so hopefully Bartow likes a good challenge.

Lakeland is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top against Lake Gibson by a score of 70-57.

Meanwhile, Bartow made easy work of Lake Buena Vista on Wednesday and carried off a 64-44 victory. The Yellow Jackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Bartow is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Lakeland, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.

Lakeland came up short against Bartow in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 55-48. Can Lakeland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
