Gering's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacey Cochran, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Todd, who scored eight points along with three steals and three blocks.
Clancy Brown continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for North Platte, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. Macie Freeze was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with two steals.
Gering's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for North Platte, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.
