Baseball Recap: Obion County Comes Up Short

Obion County came into this matchup off a tough 13-run defeat last Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the South Gibson Hornets by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Rebels in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost eight in a row.

Obion County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for South Gibson, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Obion County will venture away from home to face off against Hickman County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Gibson, they will head out to challenge Lexington at 6:35 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
