Softball Recap: Mt. Blue Victorious

Mt. Blue proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 12) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Oak Hill Raiders, sneaking past 7-6.

Mt. Blue has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Oak Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Coming up, Mt. Blue will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Camden Hills at 5:00 p.m. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Windjammers have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Oak Hill, they will face off against Madison at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
