Baseball Recap: Owen Takes a Loss

Owen fell victim to Asheville Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Warhorses have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Owen's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Asheville Christian Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-9 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Owen will take on Rosman at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.53 runs per game on average), something the Warhorses will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Asheville Christian Academy, they will face off against Christ School at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
