Basketball Recap: South Hamilton Takes a Loss

South Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs and fell 58-27. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Mustangs are ranked 41st).

South Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Prairie City-Monroe, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

South Hamilton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 39-29 win against Perry on the 6th. As for Prairie City-Monroe, they will head out to face off against Roland-Story at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
