Volleyball Recap: Concordia Starts Season with Victory Against Lincoln Christian

Concordia gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Lincoln Christian Crusaders. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted against the Crusaders since August 26, 2021.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Concordia who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 23-25, 25-22, 19-25, 15-12.

Concordia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Natalie Perkinson, who had 14 digs and two aces. What's more, Perkinson racked up 23 assists, the most she's had since back in September of 2024. Alyse Moulton was another key player, getting 37 assists and ten digs.

Concordia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Scotus on the 2nd. As for Lincoln Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Bergan Catholic on the 2nd.
