Rimbey Made His Presence Known in Southwestern's 35-33 Loss

Starting off the list is Southwestern's Blake Rimbey, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Rimbey rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 74 yards.

Southwestern is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. Rimbey and Southwestern will look to defend their home field on Friday against Greenville at 7:00 p.m.

Another Game with at Least 101 Rushing Yards from Roark Lewis

Roark Lewis's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his seventh-straight game with 101+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 34 receiving yards.

On the season, Lewis has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 147.3 rushing yards per game.

Greyson Brewer Turns in Season-Best Performance

On Friday, Southwestern had to settle for second even though Greyson Brewer put up the best numbers he has all season. Brewer picked up 105 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 56 yards.

For the year, Brewer has caught those 1 touchdown while averaging 23.7 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 4.86 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 48.71 rushing yards.

Cayden Durbin Has Career-Day on Friday

On Friday, Pana got the W thanks in part to Cayden Durbin playing the best football he has all season. Durbin rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles.

For the season, Durbin has run in 3 touchdowns while averaging 20.4 rushing yards per game.

Jackson Tuetken Makes Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Jackson Tuetken of Hillsboro. Tuetken picked up 60 receiving yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 60 yards.

Hillsboro is on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7. Tuetken will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Carlinville on Friday.
