The Agawam Brownies will face off against the Plymouth South Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Agawam is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Agawam and East Longmeadow, and East Longmeadow kept the tradition alive. The Brownies took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans on Friday.

Agawam saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexina Lentes, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Marshfield hit Plymouth South with a four-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 5-5 tie.

Plymouth South's draw gives them a new season record of 3-4-1. As for Agawam, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.
