Recap: Poinciana Eagles vs. Osceola Kowboys

The Poinciana Eagles's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against Osceola by a score of 44-33. For Poinciana, this counts as revenge for the 58-41 defeat Osceola walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.

Poinciana found their leader in underclassman Keyanna Stanley, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stanley has scored all season.

Several Kowboys players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jamylah Williams, who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Williams scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Jewelie Lazo, who scored seven points.

Poinciana's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Osceola, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Poinciana won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Harmony at 4:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for Osceola, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th. Liberty is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
