Basketball Recap: Hope Christian Academy's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

Hope Christian Academy won the last time they faced Gainesville Christian Community, and Addyson Wilson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Hope Christian Academy Lions strolled past the Gainesville Christian Community Warriors with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 31-17 thanks in part to Wilson, who posted 15 points and six steals. Her evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Hope Christian Academy's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9. As for Gainesville Christian Community, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hope Christian Academy will challenge Open Bible Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gainesville Christian Community has already played their next match (against Northside Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
