Softball Recap: Wayne Badgers vs. North Summit Braves
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wayne had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the North Summit Braves 17-7. The win was some much needed relief for Wayne as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
For North Summit's part, KINZEE DISTON led a balanced group of hitters, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. KENDRIE COMER was another key contributor, going 2-for-2 with four RBI.
Wayne's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for North Summit, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Wayne didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 16-0 loss vs. Enterprise on the 4th. North Summit does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
