Basketball Recap: Mater Dei's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Mater Dei lost against Nashville back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mater Dei Knights took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nashville Hornets. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Mater Dei lost, don't look at Gavin Peppenhorst. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 17 on his way to 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Woomer, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.

Mater Dei's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8. As for Nashville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

Mater Dei will challenge Metro-East Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mater Dei is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52 points per game this season. As for Nashville, they will take on Waterloo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
