Recap: Roosevelt Rough Riders vs. Aurora Greenmen
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Louisville, the Roosevelt Rough Riders were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They strolled past Aurora with points to spare, taking the game 58-44. That's another feather in the cap for Roosevelt, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Roosevelt's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grant Leslie, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for Leslie. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Lepp, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Aurora, they bumped their record down to 2-2 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Roosevelt will head out on the road to face off against Tallmadge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Aurora will be home for the holidays to greet Barberton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Barberton is ranked 232nd, while Aurora is ranked 234th).
