Softball Recap: Thrall Extends Winning Streak to Four

Thrall won the last time they faced Rogers and things went their way on Monday too. Thrall put the hurt on Rogers with a sharp 12-6 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won four contests in a row.

Thrall got a massive performance out of Mikayla Velasquez, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs Velasquez has posted since back in April of 2024. Selena Quintanilla was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.

Thrall kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.2.

Thrall's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Rogers, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thrall will face off against C.H. Yoe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thrall is facing C.H. Yoe at the right time seeing as C.H. Yoe is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Rogers, they will take on West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rogers' pitchers better be ready for this one: West has averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
