Preview: Fremont vs. Leland
Fremont will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Leland at 4:30 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Fremont had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 7-34 punch to the gut against Los Altos last Saturday.
Meanwhile, Leland couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were completely outmatched, falling 0-42 to Los Gatos. Leland were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-28.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better score. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous game, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
