Baseball Recap: Male Bulldogs vs. Oldham County Colonels

Male waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Oldham County Colonels. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Male got a great performance from Jaden Miller as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave Miller a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Trenton Morris was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Kellen Goodman was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Male kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oldham County only managed six hits.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Male will take on Taylor County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oldham County, they will face off against Pleasure Ridge Park at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
