Soccer Recap: Calhoun County Comes Up Short

Calhoun County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 5-0 to the Horse Creek Academy Stallions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Horse Creek Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

Calhoun County's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Horse Creek Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Coming up, Calhoun County will challenge Manning at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Calhoun County will be up against Manning's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.42 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Horse Creek Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ridge Spring-Monetta at 6:30 p.m. on the 15th.
