Baseball Recap: Excel Christian Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Tahoe, Excel Christian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They skirted past the Silver Stage Nighthawks 12-11.

Grayson King was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Mark Doerfler also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Excel Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silver Stage only posted a batting average of .250.

Excel Christian now has a winning record of 2-1-1. As for Silver Stage, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-1 record.

Looking ahead, Excel Christian is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Pyramid Lake at 10:00 a.m. on March 8th. Excel Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season. As for Silver Stage, they will square off against Battle Mountain at 3:00 p.m. on March 7th.
