Baseball Recap: Sam Rayburn Victorious

Sam Rayburn won the last time they faced Commerce and things went their way on Thursday too. The Rebels walked away with a 9-4 win over the Tigers. That's two games straight that the Rebels have won by exactly five runs.

The team relied heavily on Jamison Dorris, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Reed Amlin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Sam Rayburn has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.0 runs this season.
