Basketball Game Preview: Annapolis Cougars vs. Romulus Eagles

Annapolis hasn't had much luck against Romulus recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Annapolis Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Romulus Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

Annapolis is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Friday. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 72-67 heartbreaker at the hands of Garden City. One positive for Annapolis, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Romulus narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Melvindale 54-52. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 465th, while the Cardinals are ranked 211th).

Romulus' record is now 5-7. As for Annapolis, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

Annapolis and Romulus were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but Annapolis came up empty-handed after a 59-58 defeat. Can Annapolis avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
