Baseball Recap: Norton Panthers vs. Ravenna Ravens        
        
		
            
 Norton's game  last Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. They were the clear victor by  an  11-1 margin over the Ravenna Ravens. The high-scoring effort was just what Norton needed considering they were shutout in their previous   match.
 Norton got a great performance from  Andrew Lewis as he  struck out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Paul Mattei and  Justin Fuller did most of the damage at the plate:  Mattei  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Fuller  went 2-for-4 with a  triple, two  RBI,  and a  run.
 Norton now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ravenna, they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norton will take on Marlington at 2:30  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Ravenna, they will be playing at home against Chippewa at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
