Basketball Recap: Flanagan Takes a Loss

Flanagan lost against Coral Springs back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Falcons might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 62-26 to the Colts, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Flanagan lost, don't look at Charlize Coats. Despite the final result, she posted 16 points and six rebounds. Coats is becoming a predictor of the Falcons' success: when she posts at least 15 points the team is 2-1 (and 1-5 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Dimitria Serdenes, who put up six points.

Flanagan's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Coral Springs, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Flanagan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 41-20 victory against Taravella on the 17th. As for Coral Springs, they have also already played their next game, a 59-19 win against Fort Lauderdale on the 16th.
