Basketball Game Preview: Drew Dragons vs. The Bay School Breakers

The Drew Dragons will square off against The Bay School Breakers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Drew and four for The Bay School.

Drew is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2024 on Friday. They took a blow against Woodside, falling 84-53.

Kian Chan put forth a good effort for the losing side as he went 7 for 16 on his way to 18 points. That was a full 34% of Drew's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Max Oelerich was another key player, putting up seven points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, The Bay School had to suffer through a 80-53 loss at the hands of Stuart Hall. While losing is never fun, the Breakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 868th, while the Knights are ranked 396th).

Drew's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for The Bay School, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Everything went Drew's way against The Bay School when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Drew made off with a 57-36 win. Does Drew have another victory up their sleeve, or will The Bay School turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
