Saint John Paul the Great Catholic played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 67-41 to the Episcopal Maroon. The Wolves' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Saint John Paul the Great Catholic still got an impressive performance from Talia Mendez, who posted 11 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Mendez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

It was another big night for Princess Akojenu, who dropped a triple-double on 33 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals for Episcopal. With that strong performance, Akojenu is now averaging an impressive 17.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Coever Dixon, who earned 14 points and six steals.

Saint John Paul the Great Catholic's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Episcopal, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.
