St. David won the last time they faced San Simon and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers put the hurt on the Longhorns with a sharp 3-0 win. The Tigers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 9th (when they won 3-0).
The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-15, 25-19.
Austyn Hatch paced St. David's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hatch got some help from Emma Hart and her 19 assists. Hart was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.
The victory made it two in a row for St. David and bumps their season record up to 15-18. As for San Simon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.
Looking ahead, St. David will take on Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Simon, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 1-0 win against Animas on the 18th.
