Baseball Recap: Palmetto Comes Up Short

Palmetto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the St. Laurence Vikings, falling 7-0.

Palmetto got a good showing from Ben Capel, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Capel gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

Palmetto's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for St. Laurence, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Coincidentally, Palmetto and St. Laurence will both be playing Doral Academy the next time they take the field. Palmetto will head out to face Doral Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while St. Laurence will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
