Basketball Game Preview: Callaway Chargers vs. Lake Cormorant

The Callaway Chargers will face off against Lake Cormorant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Callaway has 11 straight wins, Lake Cormorant has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, everything went Callaway's way against Vicksburg as Callaway made off with a 61-37 victory. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 20 points or more this season.

Jahanna Wilson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 23 points and ten boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Callaway's points. Another player making a difference was Trinity Cook, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Callaway smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Lake Cormorant lost 72-50 to Center Hill on Friday.

Lake Cormorant's defeat dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Callaway, their win bumped their record up to 26-3.
