Basketball Recap: East Hickman County Comes Up Short

East Hickman County lost against Hickman County back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The East Hickman County Eagles were beaten by the Hickman County Bulldogs 69-36. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 116th).

East Hickman County has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Hickman County, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Looking ahead, East Hickman County will be playing in front of their home fans against Santa Fe at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Santa Fe will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something East Hickman County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hickman County, they will head out on the road to face off against Columbia Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hickman County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Columbia Central likes a good challenge.
