Basketball Recap: Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Comes Up Short

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech lost against Albemarle School back in November of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Griffins fell 43-31 to the Albemarle School Colts. The Griffins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech still got an impressive performance from Helen Donohue, who posted 15 points. The dominant performance gave Donohue a new career-high in points.

Leading Albemarle School to victory were Braelyne Brewer and Addison Delosreyes. Brewer almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards, while Delosreyes had 12 points along with six assists and four steals. Brewer also grabbed six steals, which is notable because Albemarle School is 7-2 when she posts at least three steals, but 3-6 otherwise.

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Albemarle School, their record is now 10-8.

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-22 loss against Bertie on the 7th. As for Albemarle School, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 42-36 defeat against Ridgecroft on the 5th.
