Basketball Recap: Carthage Piles Up the Points Against Parkview

Carthage won against Waynesville last Tuesday with 54 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Carthage Tigers blew past the Parkview Vikings, posting a 54-23 victory. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Vikings are ranked 459th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Carthage and bumps their season record up to 10-10. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.5 points. As for Parkview, they are on a 26-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tigers challenge the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parkview, they will challenge Willard at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
