Baseball Game Preview: Kamiak Knights vs. Cascade Bruins

Kamiak hasn't had much luck against Cascade recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Kamiak Knights will welcome the Cascade Bruins at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Kamiak is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Lynnwood on Wednesday as Kamiak made off with a 9-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Joe Estes looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Andrew Fetty, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Colby Koga, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Kamiak was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cascade, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against Marysville Getchell on Wednesday as Cascade made off with an 11-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bruins considering their two-run performance the game before.

Josh DeLap was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Logan Crosson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Kamiak's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cascade, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
