Baseball Recap: West Sabine Takes a Loss

West Sabine was the 6-1 winner over Big Sandy when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The West Sabine Tigers fell 6-2 to the Big Sandy Wildcats on Thursday.

West Sabine saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kade Myrann, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Myrann is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stolen at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

West Sabine now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Big Sandy, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, West Sabine will venture away from home to square off against Deweyville on Friday. As for Big Sandy, they will welcome Hemphill at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
