Ayersville won the last time they faced Continental and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pilots put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pilots.

Ayersville was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23, 25-22.

Grace Flory paced Ayersville's offense, picking up 12 kills. Flory got some help from Allison Eldridge and her 19 assists. Eldridge was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Ayersville's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Continental, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Ayersville will head out to take on Montpelier at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Continental, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Jefferson on the 20th.
