Volleyball Recap: Jerica Locke and Mckenna Tietz Secure Win for Groton

It was a proper cat-fight when Groton duked it out with Great Plains Lutheran on Saturday. The Tigers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Panthers. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Groton was led to victory by McKenna Tietz and Jerica Locke. Tietz had 11 digs and two assists, while Locke had 12 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Tietz has posted since back in September.

Groton's victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Great Plains Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.

Looking ahead, Groton will challenge Langford at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Great Plains Lutheran, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Mobridge-Pollock on the 18th.
