The Colorado Academy Mustangs will take on the Denver Christian Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Colorado Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Colorado Academy came up short against Peak to Peak and fell 54-46.

Clyde Love put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 15 points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. River Hamm was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Meanwhile, Denver Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against Prospect Ridge Academy, falling 78-47. The Thunder were down 61-36 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Colorado Academy will have to contain Carsyn Romero as he made an impact in Denver Christian's last game. He went 6-for-10 to rack up 13 points and six rebounds. That's the most boards Romero has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kaden Moore, who earned ten points.

Denver Christian now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Colorado Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Colorado Academy has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 27.5 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Denver Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.

Everything went Colorado Academy's way against Denver Christian in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, as Colorado Academy made off with a 58-37 victory.
