Baseball Recap: Ithaca Yellowjackets vs. Carrollton Cavaliers
Ithaca came out on top against Carrollton on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Yellowjackets walked away with a 7-2 win over the Cavaliers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Yellowjackets also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.

Brady Paradise made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Connor McMurphy was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Lucas Little also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.
Ithaca's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for Carrollton, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.
Coming up, Ithaca will square off against Carson City-Crystal at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Carrollton, they will take on Hemlock at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
