Soccer Game Preview: Nacogdoches vs. Texas

The Nacogdoches Dragons are taking a road trip to square off against the Texas Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Nacogdoches' last match might've seen six goals scored, but the final result was still a bit underwhelming. Neither they nor Hallsville could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Dragons have been dealt a draw since back in January.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Texas faced off against Whitehouse on Tuesday. Texas lost 6-0 to Whitehouse. The Tigers have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meetings.

With that draw, Nacogdoches' record moves to 10-6-4. As for Texas, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11-4.

Everything went Nacogdoches' way against Texas when the teams last played back in February, as Nacogdoches made off with a 4-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nacogdoches since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
