Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Ursuline Academy walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the John Paul II Cardinals a 5-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering the Bears have won 17 games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the 11th in a row for Ursuline Academy, bringing their record for this year to 20-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up four goals over those 11 matches. As for John Paul II, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.
