Soccer Game Preview: Jordan vs. Tompkins

The Jordan Warriors will head out to square off against the Tompkins Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Jordan comes in on seven and Tompkins on ten.

Jordan's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Paetow. Give Jordan's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Tompkins beat Katy Taylor 2-0 on Saturday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Tompkins' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Katy Taylor are ranked 191st).

Jordan's record is now 10-3-1. As for Tompkins, their record now sits at 11-1.

Jordan skirted past Tompkins 2-1 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
