Baseball Recap: Neumann-Goretti Finds Home Field Redemption Against Central

There's no place like home for Neumann-Goretti, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Central Lancers 1-0 on Monday. The Saints have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lancers, too.

Johnluca LaSpada looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Neumann-Goretti saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick DiGiacomo, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Neumann-Goretti's record now sits at 8-6-1. As for Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.

Neumann-Goretti is taking a road trip to face off against Archbishop Ryan at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central, they will host Samuel Fels at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
