Basketball Recap: Maryville Comes Up Short

Maryville suffered their biggest loss since February 22, 2024 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 54-26 defeat at the hands of the Lafayette Fighting Irish. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Spoofhounds' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Maryville's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-8. As for Lafayette, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Maryville has already played their next game, a 53-47 defeat against Smithville on the 6th. As for Lafayette, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 65-22 win against Cameron on the 7th.
